Moonrise
Without the title, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was a sunrise. While on honeymoon, Carla and I went to a restaurant which is famed for offering an unmatched view of the moonrise and although I didn't have a tripod with me, I managed to prop my camera on the ashtray to get a fairly steady long-exposure shot as the orange moon began to rise over the hills. From a technical perspective, it's not too sharp but in my defense it's very tricky pre-focussing on a pitch black hillside!

Tom PC @ 25th November 2009 - Nice pic dude. Where was it taken? Doesn't look like St Albans to me...not that you'd be honeymooning there of course!!
Oli Freke @ 25th November 2009 - Nice shot dude. Good to see an ashtray being used for something useful for once.
