Into the setting sun #1
I had planned to go out this weekend and shoot the snowberries next to my house, and possibly the lake in Veralum Park in St. Albans, but on setting out with the camera I got sidetracked by the setting sun and went off into the woods in search of long shadows and dappled golden light. Here's the first shot from the trip. I had in mind a similar style of photograph to the Big Fish poster; I've never seen the movie but the poster stuck in my head. I got the light about right, but the trees I found didn't quite match up to Burton's artwork! I do like the symmetry of this shot, and the obscured sun bleeding around the edge of the tree trunk. Let me know what you think.
