Black Star
There are two kinds of shots I love to take - the very acutely-angled motorsport detail shots (of which more soon, I promise) and very shallow DoF photographs of flowers. This is a rose from a gorgeous bouquet Carla received, shot from above with fill-in flash.

Rich Fish @ 18th December 2007 - The background was intentionally very dim and soft anyway, and so I dropped it right out during processing to see how it looked. I liked the result, so left it black!
